Мишка Records 001: Blessure Grave – Stranger in the House
We’re proud to finally be able to offer our inaugural record in our 7-inch series, Blessure Grave’s Stranger in the House! All of our 7-inch releases will be available as a special 7-inch and T-shirt combo pack. For this Stranger in the House release, we’ve pressed only 100 records on a clear pink vinyl that are only available in this special combo pack.
In addition to that, we’ve pressed another 200 copies on plain black vinyl that come sans T-shirt. Each release in our 7-inch series will also feature a cover song as its B-side (both Pink & Black editions). For this release, Blessure Grave covered Sleep’s stoner metal classic “Dragonaut.”
And while the spotlight is on the record and the tunes, don’t forget that there’s also a T-shirt featuring the very apt Stranger in the House cover artwork. You can purchase the t-shirt on its own… or you could pitch in a few extra bucks and get the soon to be rare pink vinyl single as well!
Founded as a duo by T. Graves and Reyna Kay in September 2008, Blessure Grave blurs the lines between the Goth, Post Punk and Neo Folk genres. The pair has since developed the project into a full band while building a cult-like following, scattering various vinyl and tape releases on boutique labels around the globe.
Citing Killing Joke, Death in June, March Violets and The Cure as influences, Blessure Grave injects a pop sensibility into songs otherwise doomed to dreariness, creating an interesting mix of old and new but dark all around. The music initially appears rather simple, but quickly reveals fully fleshed-out songs that are genuinely memorable.
